1-overview Geoelectric department of GTC is concentrating on Geoelectric and resistivity measurement. we provide technical and professional service in field of geoelectric such as: environmental investigation, geotechnique, groundwater exploration and so on that mentioned in below. Our service cover all provinces of Afghanistan. |

3-Technical Note Field procedure is here in after. First set out electrode stakes at even intervals. Then lay out the electrode cable and attach each take-out to the stakes. Finally connect the geoelectric instrument to the electrode cable, perform an automatic test to check that everything is connected correctly and then start the automatic recording. The resistivity measurements are stored directly in the memory of the instrument. When the field measurement is complete the data are downloaded to a PC computer, inverted from apparent resistivity into "true" resistivity and presented as a color cross-section of the subsurface. |

| 4-Advantages of Geoelectrical survey • Highly searching depth penetration potential; • Applicable in large distances; • Takes short time; • Requires fewer expenses compared to other methods; • Very useful to recognize aquifer from aquiclude ; • Ability to find: ► Surface and sub surface geological structure ► Thickness of layers ► Resistivity of layer by depth ► Water content of layer ► Depth of groundwater ► Separating salinity layer from potable water layer | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

5-Geophysical Equipment The complete Resistivity system consist of a transmitter unit, a receiver unit and four cable reel assemblies with four electrodes and two pots. The DC-RVA1 digital resistivity meter is used to obtain profile of subsurface conditions, bedrock depth, changes in soil strata and to indicate differences in soil layers at the test site. It is also used to determine depth of the water table; to locate buried objects and structures underground; and to find discontinuties that can lead to ore discoveries. Operating Depth: Normal of 400 to 500m |
